SeeTheStorm was initially a redirect URL sending visitors to the Storm Chaser Vince Waelti YouTube Channel. In 2021, that changed when it became its own brand.

Vince Waelti has been chasing and documenting extreme weather since 2014. In 2020, he decided to make it a life-long mission and left his low paying career in EMS to provide "virtual storm chasing tours," which have evolved into an interactive live stream hosted on YouTube.

On December 15, 2021, he relaunched the YouTube channel and gained over 8000 subscribers on the first 'official' storm chase that same day. It became clear that there was a huge interest in extreme weather on the internet.

Understanding feedback from viewers, it became apparent that a 480p stream at 1000kbps was not what everyone wanted. Almost $45,000 in equipment later, a 6 channel bonded cellular and satellite encoder enables 1080p 60fps stream quality in almost any location. Since making this investment, views have been growing tremendously.

On the stream, you'll find yourself literally inside tornadoes, hurricanes and blizzards, even wildfires and flash floods- it is a truly immersive experience that you can be part of anywhere you have a data connection. The best part- it is all free.

Thanks to wonderful followers and fans and their SuperChats, PayPal contributions, channel memberships, and merchandise purchases, there is no 'pay per view' fee on the live videos. As you can imagine, fuel and data costs are in the tens of thousands per year, so thank you to our dedicated fans!
