You’ll need one of these to write the time off application on the tourniquet. You could supply your own, but you’ll need to pack one regardless.

Be sure to pack both, as two come in one pack. You will need one for the entry and one for the exit wound, if there is one. These are not just useful for gunshots, they are useful for puncture wounds to the chest, which could be caused by flying debris.

Two come in one pack, so use one as a spare. Do not pack regular office scissors. These trauma scissors will cut bandages, clothing, and other things made of plastic or weak metal. Office scissors cut paper.
Two in a pack. Pack both or just one. These are extremely useful for bleeding wounds that need to be stopped, packed, and bandaged rapidly.

20 in a single pack, but be sure to include at least 1 or 2 and use the rest as spares. These are a good compromise size for small kits like we’re building here. If you choose to omit the 4x4 gauze pads, you may want to pack an extra one of these.
Recommend packing a handlful of these as they can be useful for wound packing or minor cuts. However, if conserving space and you choose to omit these, be sure to have at least one NAR compressed gauze packed or an extra 5” x 9” trauma pad.

These are size medium. Fits most people. Adjust to size large or small if needed. Pack several pairs in your bag or keep the box in your backpack. You do not want to perform any interventions without gloves on.

This is by far the best light for the price and size. It is approx. $60 (US) and is worth every bit of it. This unit is rechargeable and operates at full power for nearly an hour based upon our own testing. They also offer a great warranty. If you are skeptical, you will not be when you take it outside and try it for the first time at night. This is a go-to item for emergencies.

Pack atleast one of these. While this is a thermal blanket designed to retain body heat, they are often useful for creating a clean working area in dirty environments.
Purchase from here if you’re more interested in pinching a few pennies or not having to assemble your own.

This is a very basic, but reasonable kit. For the price, we’d recommend this if you want something that is nothing but a few basic essentials.
High-quality vacuum sealed stop the bleed supplies.
